About Us
The blog has been created by a Creative Consultants (PRSSA’s student-run PR firm) team at the University of Georgia, in consultation with The Wilderness Society. Each author is responsible for his or her own content. Our goal is to promote wilderness and inspire college students to act in ways to protect and preserve the environment.
Additionally, it is our long-term goal to expand this project to colleges and universities in other states. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please contact us via the information on our contact page, and feel free to comment on our posts.

I’m really excited to find this blog and place for creative ideas. I met Bill Meadows at a film festival in DC last spring and I mentioned my concern that wilderness advocates did not appeal to the students of color I work with in various k-12 settings.
Sounds like WildernessU may address some of those concerns that will help my students see themselves in the eyes, noses and mouths of wild land activists – Thank you all for the work you are doing.
I’ll be in touch about how to get this going in Utah.
